Operating a sustainable practice is a decision that requires many options. Patients and staff members appreciate a business or person that takes the appropriate steps to protect employees and the environment. PureWay has recently added new options for safe and sustainable battery recycling.
It’s the law!
State and federal laws oblige you to properly recycle your batteries of all sizes at your business and at your home. The reason for this is that most batteries contain lead acid, lithium, and nickel-cadmium which if not properly disposed of can pose a real safety hazard. Failing to comply with regulations could lead to unnecessary fines. PureWay’s Battery Recycling systems make the recycling of your batteries easy and convenient.
Battery manufacturing companies use earth raw materials like lead, cobalt, nickel, and lithium to create batteries. These materials unfortunately are non-renewable and are very expensive to mine.
By recycling your batteries you are preventing the need to mine for more resources and eliminating the toxic metals from entering our air and landfills which can ultimately affect your environment.

For the Zero Waste Box system to work effectively and safely, please follow these simple shipping guidelines on how and what you can ship back:
Only send in items this system accepts.
Sending in items that fall outside the selected category causes contamination and the need for added separation, which increases costs.
Do not send in household items that may be considered hazardous waste.
These include items such as lithium-ion batteries, pressurized canisters, pesticides, oil-based paint or medical sharps, organics, broken glass, biomedical waste, soiled diapers, or expired medication. Do not send in anything sharp, flammable, reactive, corrosive, ignitable, radioactive, toxic, infectious, or pathogenic.
Do not ship dripping packages.
Please make sure all excess product has been removed before putting it in your Zero Waste Box, Pouch, or Pallet. If you choose to rinse your items, please note that the system must be completely dry prior to shipping.
